Amanda Caldwell
Landscape Relief Prints - St. Thomas, Ontario
I live in St. Thomas, Ontario. I am a University of Western Ontario graduate, with an Honours Bachelor Degree in visual Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Arts Management and a Bachelor of Education. I have been a practising Artist since September 2006, working primarily in relief printmaking. My art is a process of deconstruction and reconstruction of landscape spaces. The design process divides the landscape into shapes but the printing process rebuilds the landscape through the layering of colour.

Derrick Cartright
Stone Carver - London, Ontario
I started carving in 1996, after being asked by a Native Canadian if I wanted to try my hand at it. My first piece was a small mountain scene with caves, stairs and inlayed vine work. Fourteen years later, with the encouragement of friends and family, I've decided to share my designs. All my pieces are hand-chiseled and unique.

Cheryl Garrett - Glass Artist
As a Marine Engineer, my job takes me too many different places introducing me to many different people. These experiences and a vivid imagination translate into one of a kind glass art. I enjoy creating Celtic Designs, 3D pieces and turning photographs into glass. All pieces are catalogued so they are not reproduced. I do commissions, repairs, alternations and offer classes. A combination of decorative soldering, copper foiling, lead cane, sandblasting, painting and hot kiln work make for unique results.

Jacqueline Kinsey - West Wind Creations
Aylmer, Ontario
I have been doing art all my life, but only recently have I started selling my work online. I am known for my impressionistic horses. My husband and I raised Canadian Horses on our ranch here in Aylmer. I am currently doing a series of oil paintings on canvas and wood depicting “The Canadian Horse” which is the National Horse of Canada and also nicknamed “The Little Iron Horse” due to their strength despite their smaller stature. I enjoy painting animals, nature and people in a surreal –like manner in both acrylic and oils. I also enjoy photography.

Judy Ross
Art by Judy Ross - St. Thomas, Ontario
Judy was born in Vancouver, B.C. and has lived in St. Thomas, Ontario since 1953. Judy bought her first camera for $5 - second hand. She took it with her on a trip out west to her place of birth. Smitten by the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, needless to say, she was bitten by the Photography bug. Judy strives to have her photography convey a mood, with the effective use of lighting and subject matter. Being relatively new to painting, Judy had taken lessons over the past few years from local, accomplished artists in watercolors, oil and acrylic medium. She feels her knowledge of photography has helped her, in particular with regard to composition and the art of seeing. She enjoys the challenges of painting on a variety of surfaces, expressing complexity through the use of vivid colour and incorporating texture into her art through experimental use of a variety of mediums. Her painting includes landscapes, still-life, collage, and abstract and most recently she is working on a series of cityscapes.

Kristle Wiseman - Painter
I currently live in St.Thomas, Ontario and am a photographer at the Real Canadian Superstore. I have never aspired to be an Artist of any sorts. I had always come back to it as a form of relaxation. It wasn’t until very recently that I had any realization that there would be anyone else who would enjoy what I had made.
I enjoy especially drawing fantasy, but will scribble about anything that pops into my head. I am currently working on a Nereid series. In Greek mythology the Nereid’s or Sea Nymphs were 50 sisters each charged with certain things pertaining to the sea, they could be very helpful or very mischievous to passing fisherman. I’ve taken some artistic liberties with what I believe they may have looked like and I have also modernized their names but keeping to their Greek heritage. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed making them.

Stan Witczak
St. Thomas Wood Carvers - St. Thomas, Ontario
The St.Thomas wood carving club is a group of people of different ages that meet once a week at Lockes Public School to enjoy a coffee, socialize and of course carve their individual or group projects. Club members carve in the round, chip and relief, the wood mostly used is basswood. Very often we are asked a question “how long does it take you to carve this?” unfortunately; we are not always able to answer that question.
